(February 24, 2007) - This sweet,  aged mare was surrendered during an investigation in Wilson County on February 22, 2007. A USERL Investigator accompanied Wilson County Sheriff Deputies to evaluate the horse. The owner was given the horse several years ago, and could not cope with the needs and expenses of caring for a horse. The horse was willingly surrendered to USERL for immediate treatment.   She has since been seen and treated by a vet for severe problems with her teeth.  Trixie will be in rehab and we will keep you posted on her progress.
