| (March 5, 2007) - It is with great sorrow that I tell you that we have lost the newest member of our USERL family, Jericho, a sister to our little frozen filly Fleeting Moment. Jericho was born late Thursday night (March 1, 2007), and for the first 24 hours everything appeared normal. She quickly took a turn for the worst on Saturday however and was diagnosed with Dumb Foal Syndrome. She was rushed to Purdue University by her foster home Saturday night and seemed to be responding very well to treatment - the vets and staff were confidant of a happy outcome. Unfortunately, we learned early this morning that she took a turn for the worst early this morning and could not be saved.
Please join me in offering our sincere condolences to her foster family, the Brewster's, who gave it their all to save this precious little life. We should all be thankful that even though her time on this earth was short, it was filled with love.
