USERL investigators have been assisting Sampson County with several cases and yesterday a seizure warrant was issued for this horse.

He has been enclosed in a paddock smaller than an average roundpen, and sometimes staked out with a rope on meager pasture. The rope and halter have rubbed sores/calluses on his face and his poor condition contradict the care the owner says he is receiving. An emaciated dog was also seized from the same property. Both are receiving care and we will update you on the progress of this case.
